Color Treated Hair: All of our products are specifically formulated to work with colored treated hair. We have had great customer feedback about how well our products work with colored treated hair. All our products are paraben-free and all-natural, so they are very mild and gentle on your hair. We’ve had a lot of great feedback from our users with color-treated hair as you can see from our reviews, however, it does depend on the quality of color used. If you use some sort of toner, semi-permanent dye, or box dye there are heavy metals and chemicals in those so chemical reactions of all sorts are expected. We would recommend using a permanent dye so the color penetrates the cuticle and locks in. Especially where with bars you have to use friction, that's opening the cuticle which can let out color if the color is not permanent. Use at your own risk. Hamish&Co is not responsible for any color stripping or unwanted results related with color.Because our products are in bar form, we recommend getting a lather in your palm and work it through your hair with your hands rather than rubbing the bar directly on your head. Blonde, Black, Red, Brown Hair: Our products work well with any hair color and type! We have customers with all different hair colors: light blondes, reds, browns, and black.
Type 3-4 Hair: We've had many people with these hair types try out our products and love them. From each variation of Type 3 and Type 4 hair, so far we've seen positive results!
Fine/thin Hair: All of our products work great on fine or thin hair. We recommend Citron Ginger if your scalp is oily and we recommend Charred Patchouli and Aged Sandalwood if your scalp is dry
All Gray/White Hair: While we do have some customers who use our bars and report seeing less gray hair, we also have some customers will all gray or all white hair who report using our bars to help strengthen, nourish and brighten their hair.
